Blogs With Balls 2.0 Tallies E-mail
Written by Shotgun Spratling

At this point last week, I was in Las Vegas sitting in a Blog World Expo conference session and trying to shake off a crazy night of partying with Captain Morgan, Carlton Banks, and some of the top sports bloggers of the world.

Technically, last Friday night ended around 7:15 in the morning when I finally got back to my hotel, but I was back up at 11:00 to go learn some new techniques and information about how to make myself a better writer and blogger.

The Vegas experience definitely took a toll on my body, which is why I have still yet to get my full recap from Blog World Expo & Blogs With Balls 2.0 (it'll be finished tomorrow I promise). Until then, I leave you with my tallies from last weekend, including complete totals of my food & drink consumption, expenses, hours slept, and lastly the master tally:

Expenses

Wow! I did well on this one. This is how much I spent myself as most of the travel expenses were split with my weekend roommate, Patrick Crawley of BasketballFiend:

FREE - Blog World Expo full access weekend pass (including Blogs With Balls 2.0 track)
$25 - Gas for drive from Los Angeles to Vegas
$52 - Three nights at the Greek Isles Hotel & Casino
$27 - Dress shoes
$19 - Food for four days
$60 - BwB charity poker shootout for Ante Up for Africa
$46 - Drinks over course of three nights
$110 - VIP for club (paid for 2 1/2 people's costs)
$50 - Ghost Bar cover (paid for 2 people...still ridiculous)
$33 - Cab fares
$5 - Monorail ticket
$25 - Various tips
TOTAL - $457

However, by coming in 4th place in the poker tournament by some slight miracle, I WON $528, so for the entire weekend I came out $76 AHEAD.

Food & Drink

This is all the food I consumed, no matter how small, throughout the entire four days from Thursday morning when we left (at 3 AM) until we returned to Los Angeles Sunday evening (6:30 PM).

...going over this tally on our way home and just shaking my head. Can't believe we had such a cool Vegas experience on so few dollars.
